As
an excellent guitar player Darren Roberts has enjoyed a varied musical career.
Having originally moved to Manchester in 1986 to join local band V8 Pilots, Darren then went on to tour Germany in the late eighties with Paisley Park.
Following a move to London in 1989 to focus strongly on doing session work for various studios, Darren also found his niche as a gifted and highly recognised guitar teacher in the City.
Missing the life of being out on tour with a recognised musical outfit, Darren then moved back to Manchester in 1991 and joined local band Itchy Feet and quickly started touring and playing all over the UK.
Looking for a change of direction in 1996 Darren responded to an advertisement for the guitar position.
Following a successful audition, his backing vocal skills and his stylish
guitar work quickly added a new dimension to the sound generated by the
The SOUL BROTHERS Band rhythm section.
Darren decided to leave the band in 1999 to do something he had always dreamed of and embarked on a long sightseeing trip around the world.
After returning back to the UK at the turn of the millennium Darren was quick to jump back on board with
The SOUL BROTHERS Band when the guitar vacancy came around yet again in 2002.
The guys in the band were pleased to have him back.
Like all other SOUL BROTHERS musicians, Darren now remains 100% committed to Manchesters' favourite band.
Darren is also a highly respected guitar teacher in and around the Manchester area.
